DENISE BRAILEY
www.reca.com.au
RECA stands for the real estate consumers association an official sounding name that you'd assume is run or funded by the government.
But is it?
How the deception of consumers works?
Our team of researchers discovered that it's not a government agency nor endorsed by any government body whatsoever. It appears the name is designed to fool consumers that it is, when in reality it was set up and originally funded by Neil Jenman and by one of his former employees Denise Brailey. It appears to be designed as yet another front to attack the real estate industry to generate much needed publicity for his business and to defame competitors. See Neil Jenman investigation on this site for further reading. It also serves to reinforce to consumers to be careful dealing with just about anyone other then a Jenman real estate agent to once again generate more business for the Jenman Empire.
How many consumers have been fooled and blatantly misled by Neil Jenman and his protégé Denise Brailey is hard to say. Not to mention how many innocent people have had there careers or business severely damaged by these pairs continued personal attacks and allegations based on half truths and in many cases imaginative outright fabrications all under the disguise of being so called consumer advocates.
It is true that some of the individuals they have defamed and warned consumers about have actually been a good thing yet does this justify there deception of the public and abuse of innocent parties.
Why haven't the media or journalists exposed Brailey or Jenman sooner?
"It would be because Jenman and Brailey are very litigious " said one individual refusing to give his name for the fear of being sued by Jenman or Brailey. And they threaten to sue people regularly despite slandering people for a living. "The sooner they are exposed the better" he said.
To make matters worse, Bailey encourages many consumers and investors to feel like victims. This pushes them to join class actions against whoever has a deep pocket.
Little do the poor consumers know that she profits from this by earning fees from law firms and our latest investigations reveal she is even working with a legal firm called IMF which explains why she is rallying victims of the recent Westpoint collapse to join a class action (co-incidentally run by IMF).
Now she is perfectly entitled to make monies from fees off lawyers but why doesn't she be honest and up front about it rather then claim to be a so called consumer advocate when clearly she isn't and has her own clear agendas. She does it because "we believe because claiming to be a 'Consumer Advocate' gives her much needed credibility to generate free publicity" said the same person not wanting to be named.
Not to mention we have heard that she does a lot of harm to many victims who often fail to accept some responsibility for there own actions by encouraging them to remain helpless victims rather than to move on with there lives and learn from there mistakes rather then be angry and bitter like Denise Brailey seems to have become which appears to inspire her vicious articles on people she targets.
We don't discount Denise Brailey, she has at times genuinely helped some people who have been unfortunate victims of scams. However, this does not excuse her for deceiving many consumers by not disclosing her agendas and declaring interests up front and also slandering her targets without backing up her allegations with facts, but instead with mere accusations and opinions.
